When my son was younger, we were working on the sounds that different letters make. At one point we worked on days of the week:
âWhat does T-T-T-Tuesday start with?â I asked, exaggerating the first letter.
âT!â Josh answered proudly.
âWhat does F-F-F-Friday start with?â
âF!â said Josh.
âWhat does S-S-S-Sunday start with?â I continued, convinced I had a child prodigy.
He didnât hesitate for a moment: âChurch!â
âJim and Rhonda Doll
My 2-year-old granddaughter Zora was concerned about death. She knew her Aunt Wendyâs dog was ânot here anymore,â but was convinced he would âcome back soon.â She was also learning that I was the mommy of her daddy, and she asked me, âWhereâs your mommy?â Hoping to clear up her misconception of death, I told her, âMy mommyâs in heaven with Jesus. Sheâs living in Jesusâ house.â
After a dramatic pause, her face lit up and she exclaimed, âThatâs a GREAT idea!â
I agreed.

Looking over the Order of Worship at a church we were visiting in Florida, we noticed that it said, âOffertoryâAll to Us.â My husband leaned over and whispered to me, âAt least theyâre honest.â
We discovered later it was the song played during the offertory.
âJoyce Steen
At a wedding everything went smoothly until it came time for the flower girl and her young escort to walk down the aisle.
The boy stopped at every pew, growling at the guests.
When asked about his behavior afterward, he explained, âI was just trying to be a good ring bear.â
âJohn Veltkamp
âIf you make the toast and coffee, Sweetheart,â said the newlywed bride, âbreakfast will be ready.â
âGreat! What are we having for breakfast?â asked the new husband.
âToast and coffee,â she replied.
