Kristene DiMarco’s first record as part of Bethel Music, , resounds with a hopeful message. DiMarco is one of a stable of artists comprising the Bethel Music Collective, a ministry of Bethel Church in Redding, Calif. 

The album strikes a nice balance of ballads and anthems, and Scripture provides inspiration. “Take Courage” was born from the story of Jehoshaphat in 2 Chronicles, and “Jesus, Your Love” was influenced by Romans 8. DiMarco’s voice seems angelic—soft but powerful.

With songs such as “Fear Not” and the radio favorite “Take Courage,” DiMarco encourages listeners to push ahead rather than giving up.
