The JJ Weeks' Band established itself in the Christian music scene with Billboardā€™s Top 10 Radio Hits such as ā€œLet Them See Youā€ and ā€œWhat Kind of Love.ā€ But that season concluded, and Weeks has embarked on a solo career. His first recording offers a six-song EP (extended play) titled ā€œThe Sound of Freedom.ā€ Weeksā€™ voice is powerful and inviting; the sound resonates as effervescent pop with rejuvenating soulful elements. The title cut became the third radio single off the EP. ā€œImagine standing guilty in front of a judge and jury and your sins, condemnation, temptations, hopelessness, depression, not feeling like youā€™re enough, fear and whatever you may be dealing with is all laid out for everyone to see,ā€ Weeks said in a release. ā€œThen, with one word coming from the corner of the room, it all vanishes because the king says, ā€˜Thatā€™s my child.ā€™ Thatā€™s the freedom Iā€™m talking about in this song!ā€ This EP features a winning combination of music and message.
