The best-laid plans of āTractor Daveā Wolfsen have temporarily gone awry, as he continues to battle mechanical problems and a tightening schedule.
Wolfsen is traveling across the United States in his 1937 Co-op tractor, raising awareness and funds for the and the Christian Reformed World Relief Committeeās .
Mechanical difficulties have detoured his plans, but he remains upbeat. āThe Lord has a different picture in mind,ā he told The Banner on Wednesday when he was in Leeper, Pa. āHeās opened a tremendous door, and weāre going to step through it as far as we can.ā
Wolfsen was headed back home to Fremont, Mich., to regroup and plot how to make his scheduled connections in Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and elsewhere.
He continues to find widespread support in his travels. āItās been astounding out there on the road,ā he says. His efforts have already raised more than $14,000 toward his goal of $200,000 for the summer-long tour.
