After a seven-year hiatus, Christian ska band The O.C. Supertones is back with a delightful work entitled . It’s the band’s first major project since splitting up in 2005 and then returning in 2010 to play some concerts together. These energized Orange County, Calif., guys offer a project filled with dance and sing-along songs. The Caribbean sounds of a festive trombone and trumpet (plus guitars and drums) combine with solid lyrics of the gospel message to give God all the glory. This is a happy project with lots of encouraging messages based on the band’s relationship with Christ and its focus on him. It’s also a simple reminder that Christians can have fun with music and still honor the King. (BEC Recordings)
